As Associate Director of Teaching and Faculty Success at the Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) at Temple University, Linda works closely with the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs to lead and support teaching and mentoring initiatives. A first-generation scholar with a Ph.D. in Political Science from UCLA and two decades of teaching and mentoring experience, she has dedicated her career to advancing equity and belonging in higher education. At Temple, her focus is on faculty development and how the faculty-student relationship impacts student success.
At the CAT, Linda provides consultations, conducts classroom observations, and facilitates workshops on inclusive teaching, course design across modalities (in-person, hybrid, and online), teaching statements and portfolios, mentoring, and navigating challenging discussions. She co-facilitates the Teaching for Equity Institute, the Provost Teaching Academy, and TA Orientation, and leads customized workshops across Temple’s campuses, including Temple Japan and Temple Rome.
Linda is the founder of the Temple AAPI Faculty and Staff Affinity Group and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Political Science Department. She is co-editor of Perspectives of Educational Developers of Color (Routledge/Taylor & Francis, 2025) and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Diversity and Equity in Educational Development.
