In the Digital Media Specialist role at the CAT, Jennifer supports instructors through one-on-one consultations, workshops, and EdTech Lab drop-in's. Jennifer's focus is navigating digital media tools used to create and deliver content for courses. Jennifer also assists with the incorporation of technology into course content (in-person, virtual and hybrid) to enhance student engagement and learning. Jennifer is well versed in audio and video software, Adober Creative Cloud Suite, creative programming platforms, and she always enjoys helping faculty research options or tools readily available that might need to be used in a creative manner to meet the needs of the course. 

 

Jennifer earned an M.F.A. in Design and Technology from the San Francisco Art Institute, CA. Jennifer has taught new media and technology adjacent courses within higher education for over 18 years and earned a President's Distinguished Teaching Award in 2018. Jennifer continues to engage with new technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, video and sound design, and interactive technologies as part of her personal and professional practice.
