As the Online Learning Specialist, Elizabeth offers faculty development in a variety of areas, especially those relevant to the online learning environment. She is deeply invested in developing best practices for equitable and inclusive teaching, whether online or in person. Elizabeth's research background in the representation of disability, race and gender in American literature complements her pedagogical commitments in the classroom, and she is excited to continue learning and growing alongside the faculty served by the CAT. Elizabeth taught middle and high school English for almost a decade before beginning her journey at Temple. She earned her BA with highest honors in English from Oberlin College, her MA in Secondary English Education from CUNY Brooklyn College and her PhD in English from Temple University.
