In the Accessible Pedagogy Specialist role at the Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Dani supports faculty in designing inclusive, equitable, and just learning environments as well as helping to lead the Accessible Temple initiative. She takes an assets-based approach, aiming to work with faculty to recognize and build on their strengths in the service of supporting all students. At the CAT, Dani is available for consultations, classroom observations, and workshops on inclusive and accessible teaching. She looks forward to connecting with faculty and developing programming that helps foster community, connection, and engaging learning for all students at Temple University.

Dani’s various work, research, and teaching are rooted in a commitment to social justice and a belief that the classroom can be a liberatory space for healing and transformation. She has presented and published nationally on topics including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Indigenous teacher education, project-based learning, restorative justice, and participatory action research.

Dani earned her BA in Psychology from Simmons College, her MA in Special Education from American International College, and her PhD in Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to joining Temple, she was an Associate Professor of Teacher Education. Before working in higher education, Dani was a high school special education teacher and restorative justice practitioner.
