As Pedagogy and Design Specialist, Cliff offers faculty development in a variety of areas, including those relevant to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the classroom and clinical settings.  He also performs consultations with faculty and classroom observations and feedback. In addition, Cliff provides research support for new workshops and advises the team on planning and direction.

Cliff earned his doctorate in Nutrition Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. He brings 15 years of university teaching experience to this position, having taught courses across the nutrition curriculum, including medical nutrition therapy, sports nutrition, nutrition education and counseling, food science and lab, and food service management. He also has extensive experience as director of an accredited nutrition program. In that role he wrote self-study documents for the program’s continued accreditation, mentored faculty, and built innovative curricular “threads” to systematically develop students’ research reading/comprehension skills and oral and written communication skills.
