Earn the six-credit certificate by completing two courses
- Course 1: Teaching in Higher Education Seminar (EPSY 8985, 3 Credits)
- Course 2: Innovation, Technology, and Teaching in Higher Education (EPSY 8960, 3 Credits)
Who qualifies for it?
The Teachers and Professionals track typically requires participants to possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent education, with occasional exception.

Tuition and Fees
Teaching in Higher Education Certificate students who are not otherwise enrolled in a degree program at Temple University are charged the College of Education and Human Development part-time per-credit tuition rate for in- or out-of-state students. Full-time Temple faculty and staff may use their tuition remission benefits toward Certificate tuition costs. Eligibility and tuition remission application information can be found on the Human Resources Tuition Remission website. Tuition remission benefits do not cover application or semesterly fees.
The Center for the Advancement of Teaching offers cohort pricing options for groups of ten or more faculty members enrolling in the Certificate.
