Teaching in 2022

Temple University will deliver courses in a variety of modalities in 2022, some of which may be new for faculty. The Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) has designed this guide to assist you in planning and implementing pedagogically sound courses in 2022, no matter the modality.

Thinking about the best approach? Our website resources and our faculty developers can help you think about how to design an effective course online, in a physically distanced in-person class, or in a hybrid modality. We can also help you brainstorm solutions to your stickier problems and act as a sounding board while you make pedagogical decisions.

Thinking about the best tools? The links below and our educational technology specialists can help you identify and implement the right tools to support your teaching goals, including how to maximize Canvas, Zoom, Ensemble Anthem, and VoiceThread to create interactive, engaging, and collaborative online environments. We can show you how to record your lectures, use screencasting, proctoring, and polling solutions, collaborative software, and other technological tools to benefit learning.
