Kyle Vitale, Ph.D.

Associate Director, Center for the Advancement of Teaching

Kyle Vitale brings his love for teaching, bold inquiry, and encouragement to the work of educational development. As Associate Director he designs programs supporting effective teaching, consults with instructors on courses and curriculums, develops university relationships, and advises the CAT’s faculty development team. He believes in teaching guided by virtue, a love for creation, and the dignity of every student.

Kyle earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Delaware and teaches courses in literature and composition. He is co-editing the book Shakespeare and Digital Pedagogy: Case Studies and Strategies (Arden) and is happily lost in a project on the topic of transformation. Before coming to Temple he held positions at the Folger Shakespeare Library and Yale University.
