As Lead Digital Media Specialist, Ariel supports Temple faculty in the use of instructional technology and multimedia software on Main Campus as well as strategizes new ways to encourage the appropriate adoption of digital media to support student learning. Ariel facilitates both technology trainings and workshops on various topics related to teaching with technology and stays current on emerging digital media for learning while facilitating team discussions and decision about future directions. She also provides one-on-one consultations for faculty to support the integration of a range of technologies that align with their pedagogical goals.
Ariel began her career at Penn State University, where she pursued undergraduate work in Film-Video, Italian, and Global & International Studies. She later completed a masters in education in Learning, Design, and Technology while also working at Penn State, conducting face-to-face and synchronous online workshops on administrative and multimedia programs for university faculty, staff, and students. She greatly enjoys helping faculty feel more comfortable using technology and to discover the exciting possibilities of integrating it into the classroom.
