For all students--especially those from underrepresented and stigmatized groups--feeling a sense of belonging matters. That includes students who identify (publicly or privately) as LGBTQIA+. Creating an inclusive learning environment gives all students the chance to challenge biases, critically think and respond in a productive manner, and succeed academically. How do we go about creating this environment? Join us for this 1-part workshop as we explore your own attitudes and knowledge, evaluate your own classroom environments, and equip you with strategies from universities around the country, as well as TU resources, to create an optimal learning environment.
