In the Winter of 2022 into the Spring, Professors Saewitz, Tallapragada and Brown team-taught a class exploring issues related to race, class and religion based on the book, Caste: The origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson. Each brought their unique perspectives to the course that included an immersion experience at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and National Museum of African American Heritage and Culture (NMAAHC) in Washington, DC. Learn how the three professors constructed and team-taught the course which was presented as a week-long, three-credit class offered during the inter-session between the Fall and Spring semesters that attracted students from throughout the University.
