Diamond Classrooms Week is Temple’s inaugural open classroom initiative. It will offer an informal and enjoyable opportunity for Temple faculty to experience the variety of pedagogical methods used by faculty to engage and inspire their own students, and in so doing, start a campus-wide dialogue on teaching. When faculty have an opportunity to see other teachers in action, it encourages reflection on teaching and energizes teaching!
During that week, we invite you to sit in on one or more of 80 courses offered by faculty who have volunteered to open their classes. Choose from a variety of courses across the disciplines; an art professor can sign up to sit in on a chemistry class, or a business professor can experience a sociology class. Meet faculty from across the university, experience their learning environments, and get great ideas for your own teaching!
You can share your Diamond Classrooms Week experience using our hashtag #CATDCW.
All participants in Diamond Classrooms Week are invited to our open house reception, Share the Love: Diamond Classroom Celebration. Drop in any time between 1:00pm and 3:00pm on Friday, February 14th in Shusterman Hall for light refreshments and informal discussion of the Diamond Classrooms Week experience.
